About Spellosion

My wife and I love playing word games. In fact, we play about four different word games almost every day. Eventually, though, we started getting a little bored with playing the same games over and over, and I thought, “Why not create one of our own?”

I wanted to take some of my favorite elements from several of the games we loved and combine them into something completely new. And that’s how Spellosion was born.

I’ve always had a passion for casual gaming and a good word puzzle, so creating this game has really been a passion project for me. It’s something I’ve had a lot of fun building, and I hope you have just as much fun playing it.

The game in a nutshell

Build words on a shared board, find a hidden four-letter secret word with color clues, and set off chain-reaction explosions to steal squares. Play the computer, a friend online, or pass the device. Read the how-to-play guide.
